Featured October Speaker: Heather Brandling-Bennett, MD

Dr. Heather Brandling-Bennett is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Psychology and Biology, and then earned her M.D. from Harvard Medical School. She completed her internship in Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital and residency in Dermatology at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Columbia University.

Dr. Brandling-Bennett is an attending in the Division of Dermatology at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include autoimmune connective tissue diseases and other inflammatory skin condition, cutaneous complications of oncologic therapy and vascular anomalies.

She is a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD), Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA), Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA), Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types (FIRST) Medical & Scientific Advisory Board, American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and Washington State Dermatology Association (WSDA), and has held various leadership roles in these organizations.
